What an oven service usually involves
An oven doesn't have to quit completely to cause trouble. Maybe it takes forever to preheat, won't reach the right temperature, burns food on one side, or the bake or broil function has stopped working. You might also be dealing with a display that won't cooperate or an oven that simply won't turn on. Whatever the symptoms, I'll work to determine what's causing the problem and explain what I find without expecting you to know the ins and outs of how your oven works.
My approach is to give you a straightforward assessment and help you decide what makes the most sense for your situation. I'll explain the likely repair, discuss the cost, and let you know if there are any concerns that could affect whether the job is worthwhile. Some repairs are completed in one visit, while others require parts or additional work. Before proceeding with authorized repairs, you'll have a clearer understanding of the problem and the options available to you.
I work on most common household brands — Amana, Whirlpool, Maytag, KitchenAid, JennAir, Kenmore, Frigidaire, Electrolux, GE and Samsung. This is electric only: I do not take on gas ovens or ranges, and I do not work on microwaves, built-in wall units, LG kitchen products, Kenmore Elite kitchen products, or boutique and luxury machines such as SubZero, Wolf, Gaggenau, Thermador, Viking, Liebherr, Miele, Fisher & Paykel and Bosch.
