Refrigerator Repair
Rising Fawn, Lookout Mountain and the Chattanooga area — one technician, start to finish.
What a refrigerator service usually involves
Most refrigerator calls come down to a handful of failures: it runs but will not cool, it freezes everything, it leaks water onto the floor, the ice maker has stopped, or a fan has started making a noise you can hear from the next room. When I arrive, my goal is to identify the likely cause of the problem, explain my findings in plain English, and help you understand your repair options. Every refrigerator and situation is different, so the diagnostic process depends on the symptoms, the appliance's design, and what I find during testing.
As the owner and technician of Alpha Appliance Service, I believe in giving you an honest assessment rather than recommending repairs or replacement without good reason. I'll explain what's wrong, discuss the expected cost and practicality of the repair, and help you make an informed decision before proceeding with any authorized work. Some repairs can be completed during the initial visit, while others may require parts ordering, additional labor, or further evaluation. My goal is to provide a straightforward, professional service experience and help you determine the most sensible path forward for your refrigerator.
I work on most common household brands — Amana, Whirlpool, Maytag, KitchenAid, JennAir, Kenmore, Frigidaire, Electrolux, GE and Samsung. I do not take on LG kitchen products, Kenmore Elite kitchen products, built-in units, or boutique and luxury machines such as SubZero, Wolf, Gaggenau, Thermador, Viking, Liebherr, Miele, Fisher & Paykel and Bosch. If a refrigerator is not worth what the repair would cost, I will say so — that conversation may cost me the job, but it is still the right one to have.
